My Devotional – Living Fearlessly

The words “fear not” keep showing up in the Bible all the way from Genesis to Revelation. Why is that? Because God understands that fear is not only our biggest enemy but our constant companion, and He wants to help us overcome it.

One author writes: Think of your comfort zone as a prison you live in – a largely self-created prison. It consists of a collection of cant’s, must’s, must-nots and other unfounded beliefs formed from all the negative thoughts and decisions you have accumulated and reinforced during your lifetime. Every fear is like a bar in that prison.

But the good news is, because fears are feelings, the faulty ones can be removed by faith in God, and you can become free from them. Does this mean you can live totally free from fear? No, writer Michael Ignatieff says: Living fearlessly is not the same thing as never being afraid. It’s good to be afraid occasionally. Fear is a great teacher. What’s not good is living in fear, allowing fear to dictate your choices, allowing fear to define who you are.

Living fearlessly means standing up to fear, taking its measure, refusing to let it shape and define your life. Living fearlessly means taking risks, taking gambles, not playing it safe. It means refusing to take ‘no’ for an answer when you are sure that the answer should have been ‘yes.’ It means refusing to settle for less than what is your due, what is yours by right, what is yours by the sweat of your labor and your effort.” And let’s add – what God has promised and planned for you.

Are You Making These Common Mistakes With Your IBO Press Releases?

IBO tool box is a great platform, as you know and that’s why you’re probably on it right now.

It allows you to publish 2 press releases everyday. Cool right?

Yeah, so long as you’re NOT making these common mistakes.

Here are the 3 Biggest common mistakes I see a lot of people make.

And it’s costing them BIGTIME, because it means that your PR will not get read.

Kinda sucks doesn’t it?

So on to the mistakes so pay attention now.

Mistake # 1 Not using a big enough font size. Don’t just use the default or 12 pt font, as this makes the font small, and it’s hard to read for most people, especially on mobile devices or tablets.

The Solution: use at least 14pt font, as this is big enough even for your grandmother to read. Got it.

Mistake # 2 Not spacing out your text. No one wants to read several lines of a paragraph. It’s tedious.

The Solution: Break up the sentences and never used more that 4, (Ideally 3) lines per paragraph. And use one sentence to lead up, bold, italics and highlight to bring your PR to life. In other words, PIMP your PR.

Mistake # 3 Don’t make them too long. Most people’s attention span is short – I mean less than that of a goldfish.

The Solution: Where possible try and keep it under 300 words. If it’s a long topic consider breaking it up into different parts.

That’s it.

So now you know the common mistakes people make with their IBO PR’s, and you know how to fix them.

If you implement these solutions in your next PR, you’ll notice a big difference and more people will be inclined to read them.
